Tissue Salt naming and numbering

Schuessler Tissue Salts, Cell salts, Biochemic salts, Micro-mineral nutrients are all different names for a group of minerals that have been prepared in micro form.

Each mineral has an associated number, a biochemical name and a short name of their own formulation, as well as the D6 or D12 potency description at the end.

No 1 (1) Calcium fluoride (Calc Fluor) D12
No 2 (2) Calcium phosphate (Calc Phos) D6
No 3 (12) Calcium sulphate (Calc Sulph) D6
No 4 (3) Iron phosphate (Ferrum Phos) D12
No 5 (4) Potassium chloride (Kali Mur) D6
No 6 (5) Potassium phosphate (Kali Phos) D6
No 7 (6) Potassium sulphate (Kali Sulph) D6
No 8 (7) Magnesium phosphate (Mag Phos) D6
No 9 (8) Sodium chloride (Nat Mur) D6
No 10 (9) Sodium phosphate (Nat Phos ) D6
No 11 (10) Sodium sulphate (Nat Sulph) D6
No 12 (11) Silica (Silicea) D12

Because the names of the Tissue Salts are quite complicated, the Cell Salts are often simply called by their number, for example, No. 8 for Magnesium Phosphoricum – or just Mag Phos.

Note – South African numbers differ to European numbers
Please be aware that the numbering system in Europe differs to the numbering system used on this website. In Europe the Tissue Salt Calcium sulphate has the number 12, in South Africa and America it has number 3 and all subsequent Tissue Salts have higher numbers than in Europe. The European system of numbers are shown in brackets.
